Eakring's bric-a-brac stall raised £160 for the Tower Restoration Fund.

Visit by Bishop George - July 6th

Historic Churches Trust has raised £373, half of which

is kept by St. Andrew's Church.

Hurt family reunion

On 1st May 2004, 100 members of the Hurt family gathered in Eakring for a reunion.

Many family members had travelled to Eakring by car from the surrounding area, but some had come from as far away as Canada, and the USA.

Members of the Hurt family viewing St. Andrew's and later finding family graves in the churchyard.

20th June 2004 - Reader, Frank Townend retires

Lay Reader, Frank Townend has retired from his duties as Reader at Eakring. He will continue to assist at Communion.

3rd July 2005

Rev'd John Chambers was priested yesterday, Saturday 2nd July 2005, and took his first
Holy Communion Service here at Eakring .

Approximately 130 people attended from all six parishes.
The service was followed by lunch in the Cator Hall
