The Tower restoration project        

The tower was shown to be in need of repair by the last Quinquennial Survey of the church carried out in May 2002.  The cost of the work to restore the tower is £24,000

.      

Funds so far raised together with grants offered amount to £20,000.

It is hoped that work can start in April 2004

May 2004 - Work starts.

April 26th - 28th - Scaffolding is erected around the tower.

May 28th - Work carried out so far - cleaning our old joints and stonework, clean and paint clock faces in readiness or gilding.

September 2004 - work continues.
